Samuel Rocha Jr., age 71, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Samuel a Holy Cross graduate form the Class of 1969 was born on January 21, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, to Lilly Martinez Rocha and Samuel Rocha Sr. Sam was a giving, caring, selfless soul. His roots ran deep with compassion for helping others. He was a dedicated father to his family and an outstanding mentor to anyone he worked with. He retired after working for SACU for 42 years. In his early years he loved to be outdoors whether it was taking his family camping or driving down to the coast to fish. Sam was passionate about his Ranch and cherished good music, good company and hosting a good Texas BBQ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lilly Martinez Rocha and Samuel Rocha Sr., and his wife Lina Rocha. Samuel is survived by his daughter Lisa Rocha Shukla (Vik Shukla); son, Sam Rocha III (Jennifer); sister, Cheryl Ponce (Gonzalo); grandchildren, Samuel IV, Benjamin, Evan, and Alaina. The family will receive friends from 5pm-7pm Tuesday, September 06, 2022, at Porter Loring Mortuary North. Say not in grief ‘he is no more,’ but in thankfulness that he was.
