 In your prayers please remember Matias “Matt” Muniz who died on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.  He is the father of Matt D. Muniz Class of 1974 and Rene X. Muniz Class of 1975.

Matias “Matt” Muniz

March 23, 1929 – January 23, 2019

Matias “Matt” N. Muniz was born March 23,1929 went into the loving arms of the lord on January 23,2019 at the blessed age of 89.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 23, 1929. He is proceeded in death by his loving wife Teresa “Teddy” Muniz & daughter Celeste “Marie” Muniz, parents Matt and Carmen Muniz & numerous siblings. He is survived by his sons, Matt D. Muniz, & Rene X. Muniz (Gloria), grandchildren Rochelle, Matt Jr., Ava Lynn, Rene Jr., Breana Celeste & Kyle Andrew as well as 4 great grandchildren, & numerous other family members and friends. Matt was a loving devoted husband, who was also a loving and caring father. He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Visitation will begin Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 8:00 am at St. Dominic Catholic Church with a rosary to be recited at 9:00 and a mass at 9:30 am. The motorcade will depart at 11 am with burial to follow at 11:30 am, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be mailed directly to their office address of 10223 McAllister Freeway, Suite 100, San Antonio, Tx 78216. You may include a note stating “In Memory of Matias “Matt” Muniz. Services are under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
