Rep. Castro Host 1st Annual Job Fair
(SAN ANTONIO, TX) – The First Annual District 125 Job Fair will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the gymnasium of Holy Cross of San Antonio at 426 N. Felipe from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. This is a partnership of the district office of District 125 State Representative Joaquin Castro, Caring for People (CAP Inc.), Dress for Success San Antonio, Holy Cross of San Antonio, Haven for Hope and the office of District 7 City Councilman Cris Medina.
More than three dozen businesses will participate in the job fair which is open to the public. Those looking for jobs should bring a resume and any references or letters of recommendation they may have. Dress for Success San Antonio will outfit Haven for Hope residents who will be looking for employment.
“To have a job is to not only be able to provide for yourself and your family but to also feel the dignity and pride of working,” says Castro. “San Antonio has many businesses who are looking to hire now and many people who are looking for jobs now. This job fair is where need meets opportunity. I thank Caring for People, Dress for Success, Haven for Hope and Councilman Medina’s office for their hard work in making this happen and I especially thank the many businesses who are participating.”
