In your prayers please remember Beatrice S. Charles, who died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.  Beatrice Charles is the mother of Paul S. Charles Class of 1969 and Mark Anthony Charles Class of 1974.  Beatrice is also the aunt of Osvaldo Constantino Vela of 1982, Frank Flores of 1985 (Deceased), Marcelo Garcia of 1986, Fernando Flores of 1994 and great aunt of Leah Flores-Calderon of 2011 and Adriana Flores-Calderon of 2012.  This announcement is belated. Her obituary follows:

Beatrice S. Charles, of San Antonio, TX passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 86.  Beatrice was born to parents Pedro and Maria Sandoval on March 21, 1931 in Austin, TX.  She grew up as the youngest of seven and graduated Jefferson High School in San Antonio.  In 1950, she married Paul A. Charles.  For 29 years she worked at the grand Joske’s department store and was the manager at the gift wrapping department.  She spent most of her free time going to the cinema.  Beatrice is survived by her loving husband Paul A. Charles, here three sons, Paul, Mark, and Gabriel; her nephew, Roger; her brother, “Chico” Sandoval; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maria Sandoval; her sister, Justa and Etelvina; and her brother, Vicente, Jesse and Pedro, Jr.; nieces and nephews.

In your prayers you are asked to remember Susan M. Flores who died on March 1, 2018.  She is the wife of Carlos G. Flores Class of 1985. There are many other alumni related to Susan M. Flores.  This announcement if belated. Her obituary follows.

Susan M. Flores, age 50, went to the Lord on March 1st, 2018, in San Antonio, TX surrounded by her family. Susan was born in San Antonio, TX to Gilbert R. and Gloria A. Castano on November 7th, 1967. Susan worked for the Baptist Medical System as a surgical technician in specialty in eye surgery. She loved to travel the world such as England, Paris, London, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Hawaii, Cozumel, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Belize, Las Vegas, Mexico and annual family trips to South Padre Island. She loved to “bluff you” while playing Texas Hold’em. She was preceded in death by, her parents. Susan is survived by her husband of 30 years, Carlos G. Flores; daughters, Laura E. Ayala (Edward C. Ayala III), Robyn A. Flores (Mike Garcia) and Miranda M. Flores (Alan Gonzalez); grandchildren, Edward C. Ayala IV, Alex Ryan Garcia and future grandson, Ezra Gilbert Ayala and her siblings Debbie Chin (Jonathan Chin), Cindy Anthony (Mike Anthony) and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
