This year’s Big Give S.A. will take place from 12:00 a.m.-11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 4th! On that Thursday, the City of San Antonio will come together for 24 hours of nonprofit giving during the Big Give S.A.

What can you do?

All you have to do is commit to donating to Holy Cross of San Antonio on May 4th through the Big Give S.A. website: https://www.thebiggivesa.org/ and you will help our school become eligible for prize money and matching dollar opportunities. All donations made to our school on May 4th go directly to Holy Cross. You can donate on your smart phone, tablet, or computer.

Dear Holy Cross Families,

The 2016-2017 Athletic Banquets are scheduled for Tuesday, May 9th (Middle School) and Wednesday, May 10th (High School) at 6:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Convocation Center. All tickets are $10 each, however, tickets for students being recognized during the banquet are complementary.

In order to better prepare for this year’s event and to ensure that everyone has a great experience, we are ONLY offering PRE-SALE tickets and tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door.

The Booster Club will be selling tickets in front of the weight room on the following days and times:

-Wednesday, April 12th from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm

-Wednesday, April 19th from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm

-Wednesday, April 26th  from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm

-Wednesday, May 3rd from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm

If you absolutely cannot attend one of the days that we will be selling, please contact Maxine Gonzalez at 210-415-3786 to make special arrangements for purchase.

Henrianna Ibarra Signing Day 2

SENIOR HENRIANNA IBARRA SIGNS WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS

On Wednesday, April 12, 2017 Miss Henrianna Ibarra, Class of 2017, signed her commitment letter to attend and play volleyball at the University of North Texas, located in Denton Texas. Henrianna will be playing outside hitter and defensive specialist on the Eagle’s Volleyball team in the fall.

On her official signing day, Miss Ibarra was accompanied by her volleyball coaches, Coach Ruben Calderon and Coach Molly Calderon, Principal, Mr. Henry Galindo, teammates and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ibarra.

Congratulations to all our students who competed in the TAPPS State Art and Academic Meet this week in Waco.

HC students at Advocay Day

On Tuesday, April 4th four of our Holy Cross students participated in Advocacy Day at the Capital in Austin, TX. Our students traveled with 6 Catholic Schools from the Archdiocese of San Antonio to promote Catholic legislation. Nearly 4,000 Catholics from 15 Catholic diocese showed their support on Tuesday at the rally. The students were invited to participate in a mock hearing on the Ordinance-Pay Day Lending.

Congratulations to the Middle School Track and Field teams for a great showing at the League meet this past weekend.

Congratulations to the Middle School Boys “A” team for bringing home a back to back City Championship trophy. The Middle School Boys team won 11 gold medals in the following events; 4×100 relay, 4x 200 relays, Discus, Shot Put, High Jump, Triple Jump, 200 M, 300 M hurdles, 400 M, 1600 M, and 2400. 3 silver and 2 bronze conclude the medal count.

Special recognition goes to Bryon Armstrong who won gold medals in all his 5 events.

The Girls “A” team placed 5th overall in the meet. The Boys “B” teams brought home several ribbons in several events.
