The football team beat Antonian 51-3 this past weekend. The offense dominated on the ground and in the air for 467 total yards. The defense wasn’t too shabby either, limiting the Apaches to 80 total yards.
JD Hernandez was once again the model of efficiency going 11 of 14 for 183 yards and 3 TD’s. Mark Hernandez, DJ Kirkendoll, and Sam Romero caught the TD passes.
Tyler Cardenas ran for 144 yards and 3 scores.
Next game is the Holy Bowl against Central Catholic at Central on Friday, November 5 at 7:30pm. Winner finishes 2nd in district.
You knew it was going to be a good game when each team scored a touchdown less than a minute into the game. Sam Romero accounted for the first score, returning the opening kickoff 100 yards. He went on to score 2 more touchdowns.
Tyler Cardenas scored on a 2 yard run.
JD Hernandez passed for 189 yards and 2 TD’s.
Both teams provided big plays and big hits and should be proud of their efforts. Our guys came up just short, 35-26.
