On Thurs., April 24, 2014, Holy Cross of San Antonio’s band performed at the Battle of the Bands Festival. The Holy Cross band is led by Mr. Alejandro Flores, Band Sponsor, and Mr. Manny Gonzales, Band Director. The Band Festival was held at the North East Independent School District’s Comalander Stadium, Blossom Athletic Center.
Thirty high school bands from San Antonio and surrounding areas performed for an evening of musical enjoyment. The Band Festival is sponsored by the Battle of the Flowers Association. In 1935, the Band Festival officially became a part of Fiesta.
